Dr. Meily Machado grew up in South Florida and attended George T. Baker Aviation School, where she graduated with a vocational degree in Avionics. Participating in MIT InvenTeams during this time, she developed hands-on skills working on electric circuits in planes. These hands-on skills significantly motivated her to become a surgeon and doctor.
She then pursued higher education at the University of Florida, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science. Furthering her education, Dr. Machado completed a Master's Program at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning a degree in Medical Sciences.
Dr. Machado went on to graduate from Temple School of Podiatric Medicine and completed her residency at Palmetto General Hospital, Hialeah FL. She is Foot and RRA qualified with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
A native Cuban and fluent in Spanish, Dr. Machado is passionate about learning, the most up-to-date training, and providing care to patients. Her empathetic nature and commitment to always putting patients first define her approach to medicine. She is on staff at multiple hospital locations in Palm Beach County, where she covers trauma calls and actively participates in the teaching of surgical residents.
When Dr. Machado is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She enjoys traveling, learning about new cultures and delights in exploring diverse culinary experiences.
