Dr. Alan Hartstein is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and he is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He graduated on the Dean’s List and with honors from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1989 and completed his two year surgical residency as the Chief Resident at Peninsula and Beekman Downtown Hospitals in New York City. He is a Certified Wound Care Specialist from the American Board of Wound Management and a participating physician at the Wound Healing Center at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Dr. Hartstein had been chief at St. Mary's for 16 years and has been chief at Good Samaritan for 20 years. He is a former President of the Palm Beach County Podiatric Medical Association and a member in good standing of the Florida and American Podiatric Medical Associations. Dr. Hartstein was named the Young Practitioner of the Year in Florida by the Florida Podiatric Medical Association in 1998. He has been practicing in West Palm Beach since 1992 and is on the surgical staff of 7 hospitals in Palm Beach County.
